Cala’n Porter is situated along the central south coast of Menorca 8 miles from Mahon.
Accommodation is in self catering apartments, privately owned villas or hotel based.
There is a good selection of shops and supermarkets catering for everyday holiday essentials.
The resort centre, accommodation and amenities sit on the cliffs overlooking the beach and the bay.
The most direct route to the beach is via the steep set of steps, however there is a mini train that runs between the beach and resort centre at a charge. If driving to the beach the car park fills very quickly.
The beach is protected on three sides by cliffs and as a consequence can become a bit of a sun trap. There are sun beds and parasols for hire and pedalos at an hourly rate. On one side of the bay are a few bars and a souvenir shop.
There are a variety of restaurants to choose from and some lively bars. The night club Cova d’en Xorio is open from late evening to early dawn.
Cala’n Porter’s fiesta takes place in the middle of September.
The local bus service operates a regular service to Mahon during the summer months.
