Santo Tomas Car Hire, Menorca
The quiet resort of Santo Tomas is sited on the south coast of Menorca midway between the resorts of Son Bou and Cala Galdana approximately 20 miles from Mahon.
Accommodation is mainly in the many hotels or self catering apartments. A few privately owned villas are available.
The single main street runs from either end of the resort with two small commercial centers, one on either side selling beach goods and souvenirs. There are three fair sized supermarkets.
The two beaches at Santo Tomas are long and narrow strips of white sand with some rocks in places. Water sports abound- windsurfing, diving, snorkeling, water skiing, sailing and jet skiing. There is a large car park and a beach bar.
Just behind the beach is a paved promenade which runs the full length of the resort.
Santo Tomas has a number of restaurants serving Spanish, Italian and British cuisine, however most of them are connected to the hotels. There are a few fast food outlets.
Evening entertainment is based mainly in the hotels.
The local bus service is limited and car hire is recommended.
